As an Ally of the alliance for a number of years now, we are highly privileged to have Susi Tegen, Chief Executive of NRHA join us in our exhibition booth with Peter Birch, CEO of Talking HealthTech and Aileen Lai, CEO HealthBeats® to discuss the challenges of rural and remote healthcare access and how it can be improved.
In a separate podcast. we have Melanie Molluso, Cardiac Liaison Nurse/ RPM Project Coordinator for Echuca Regional Health shares about her first hand experience in starting up a complex care practice, running the practices, the challenges faced and advice on overcoming the challenges.
Digital health literacy, a common challenge faced by all stakeholders is well shared and experienced by HealthBeats® from our various implementations. The challenges faced are remarkably different and specific for rural health. Aileen Lai, CEO of HealthBeats® attempt to address these topics at the tip of the iceberg with two poster presentations titled "Overcoming challenges in deployment and embracement of remote monitoring in rural health: A vendor's perspective" and "How to design, build, measure and iterate a digital health process for your own environment for a successful digital health deployment".
During the three days, we showcase and share our solution focusing on rural health, including our Offline Mode. We look forward to continue our contributions to the Alliance and rural health. Stay tuned for our upcoming podcasts!
About the National Rural Health Alliance (NRHA)
The National Rural Health Alliance (the Alliance) comprises 53 national organisations committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the over 7 million people in rural and remote Australia. Our diverse membership includes representation from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector, health professional organisations, health service providers, health educators and students. The Alliance provides a united voice for people and health professionals living and working in rural communities and advocates for sustainable and affordable health services. Our most important role, underpinned by our broad representative base, is listening to the people of rural, regional and remote Australia and taking their views to government. Working closely with the Alliance Council, our policy team identifies existing and emerging issues affecting rural health and develops and advocates targeted, evidence-based policy outcomes. We are a credible source of expertise and evidence-based information, and we work closely with politicians, governments, departments and a broad range of stakeholders to build healthy and adaptable rural communities.
